A Message from Mike Mattes, CORMETECH CEO

As COVID-19 (the coronavirus) continues to impact the global community, I want to personally update you on the steps CORMETECH has taken to ensure business continuity for all our customers around the world.

It goes without saying that, in the current environment, the health and safety of our employees, customers, and partners are paramount. To that end, based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), we have communicated with our employees about best practices to avoid contracting and transmitting the virus. Specifically, we have emphasized, among other things, the importance of hand washing, staying home when sick, and maintaining a clean and disinfected work environment. Additionally, we have added hand-sanitizer stations and disinfectant wipes to our production floors and posted best-practice hygiene guidance throughout each of our facilities. Moreover, we have suspended all international travel and all non-essential domestic travel, and we are encouraging appropriate social distance even within our facilities (i.e., calling colleagues on the phone rather than visiting their offices). Given that many of our customers have implemented travel restrictions of their own, we have instructed employees to leverage technology and conduct internal and external meetings on a virtual basis as much as possible. Finally, we have issued appropriate guidance to our contractors and other 3rd party service providers who visit our facilities to ensure that their virus-prevention policies mirror our own.

In addition to the steps we have taken to maintain the health of our workforce, we are also working closely with our suppliers to ensure that we are able to meet all our customer commitments. We have had regular communications – both internally and externally – to ensure that we maintain an adequate supply of critical raw materials and to evaluate and secure back-up suppliers as needed. We have also remained in close contact with those who provide our transportation services to mitigate the risk of any disruption of service. In short, we are proactively managing all aspects of our business to address any conceivable threats to our supply-chain or logistics posed by COVID-19.

This is an unprecedented time for everyone, and the impact it has nationally on businesses and on our personal lives is very fluid as more is discovered about the virus. Despite this uncertainty, we are closely monitoring worldwide developments and constantly assessing any potential implications for our business. CORMETECH remains committed to the safety of our employees and to maintaining our business operations, thereby ensuring that you continue to receive the highest quality products and services without disruption. Thank you for your continued trust in CORMETECH.

Very truly yours,

Michael F. Mattes
President & CEO
