Cormetech Appoints Energy Transition Executive, Patricia Martinez, to President & CEO – Mike Mattes Elevated to Chairman of the Board

Charlotte, NC – August 19th, 2024 – John Moore, Cormetech’s Chairman of the Board announced that Cormetech, a leading manufacturer of SCR Catalyst and Carbon Capture Adsorbers and Services for the emissions control industry, is appointing Patricia Martinez as the new President & CEO, effective August 19th, 2024. This strategic leadership transition comes as Mike Mattes retires from the role of President & CEO to assume the position of Chairman of the Cormetech Board of Directors. John Moore said, “I am excited for Patricia and Mike to collaborate and eager to continue to support in my continued role as a Cormetech Board Member.”

Patricia brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of growing businesses in the natural gas value chain across all major energy markets. Since 2021, she has led the delivery of low-carbon energy solutions, with a particular focus on Electrification, Carbon Capture Utilization and Sequestration (CCUS), Bio Energy, and Hydrogen. Currently Patricia serves on the Boards of NOV (NYSE: NOV) and Par Pacific (NYSE: PARR). Patricia has spent over 25 years in the industry, which includes stints at Dupont, Shell Oil, and TPG backed Valerus Compression Services which was sold to Enerflex (NYSE: EFX). At Enerflex, Patricia served as President of Latin America for 8 years before being appointed Chief Energy Transition Officer. Patricia is known and respected as a thought leader around global natural gas and its role in the energy transition.

Under his leadership, Cormetech has experienced substantial changes, expanded its product lines in Regeneration, Carbon Capture and Hydrogen, and solidified its position as an industry leader in the emissions control industry. As Chairman of the Board, Mike will continue to provide strategic oversight and support to the executive team.
