Charlotte, North Carolina (November 1, 2017) – STEAG SCR-Tech, Inc., the world leader in SCR catalyst regeneration services, today announced the acquisition of CORMETECH, Inc., the leading innovator and manufacturer of high-quality environmental catalysts and services for the power, marine, industrial-process, refinery, and petrochemical markets. The two companies merged their businesses, adopting the CORMETECH name. CORMETECH was formed in 1989 from the equity ownership of MHI and Corning. CORMETECH is the industry’s leading environmental catalyst manufacturer and full life cycle catalyst management and service solution provider. CORMETECH has delivered environmental catalysts for more than 1,600 SCR systems totaling over 156 GW of worldwide generating capacity. CORMETECH has manufacturing operations in Durham, NC and Cleveland, TN as well as 3 licensees and a sales office in China.
STEAG SCR-Tech was formed in 2016 from the equity ownership of STEAG GmbH and Energy Capital Partners. STEAG SCR-Tech is the world’s leader in SCR catalyst regeneration and related services having regenerated over 85,000 modules for over 133 GW of generating capacity. STEAG SCR-Tech has manufacturing operations in Kings Mountain and Charlotte, North Carolina.
